In a second step I want to add a formula and multiply the rate with another column with the quantity of hours.
Any workaround? I tried it with labels and checkboxes. But they deliver TEXT. So I can’t use them for calculation.

Unfortunately, the system doesn’t recognize whether you have a number or a text in the label - it reads it as text by default. So if you need a calculation, you would need to use the Number field.
I understand that doesn’t align with your initial idea of having a dropdown, but sadly formulas/calculations need specific values to be able to work, in this case, it would be a number field that’s necessary.
