I am poking around on an Infinity Pro plan before launching into the full Unlimited Pro. I am coming predominantly from ClickUp and I can see some major improvements here that ClickUp would love to be able to do and then, obviously, some features that I do hope they are working on to get this system more mature and refined. My major concern at the moment is the lack of community conversation, feedback from the developers and very outdated training videos. The entire forum section seems to also be outdated with many issues being raised years ago without much happening or further interaction and even the road map seems to be very very quiet with nothing really updated for months from the Infinity team. I don’t want to take the leap and find myself in a void where there is very little interaction and development. Any seasoned professionals here who can ease my concerns?
First, welcome to the community! Infinity is truly an exceptional product and started out as a very unique and groundbreaking tool. Still is somewhat unique and something that I use daily in both my primary business and with two other businesses where I’m on the board.
That said, you’re observation is 100% spot on. I’m not sure why things have died around here. I don’t feel like that’s indicative of the product itself and the tool continues to work well, but the lack of interaction here both from the team and from the users is a little disheartening and concerning.
I’m not sure what will rectify it other than users re-engaging and becoming active again. I think that could propel the team to also engage.
Just for the record I am one of, if not the longest standing user of Infinity going back to the earliest beta, which was an entirely different product. So I’ve been with them a long time and I feel like I have some decent insight into how they work and who they are. Integrity has been there from the beginning. The inventiveness and desire to make something unique!
I am saddened that this lack of interaction and activity has taken root. I appreciate that you’ve brought this up and hopefully it’ll spark something. In the meantime I’m not an expert at the tool even as long as I’ve been using it, but I’m happy to answer any questions that you have if I am able.
Thanks @infinity.justs, for keeping this community active.
Yes, we are alive. We could probably improve communication, but I think it is decent. You can check our change log to see the progress and things that we are working on https://devchangelog.startinfinity.com/.
Some other channels may be outdated, like the public roadmap. They are not abandoned, just not updated as often as I would like.
