I don’t know if it is already in the backlog but I’d like to set start dates and end dates (deadlines) to items. I can already set 2 custom fields with date type but I’m not sure how Infinity undersatnds them.

Thanks for the bug report 
We already have this feature and Infinity understands it, but it seems broken at the moment.
When you open Calendar at the top right corner you’ll see option ‘Dates’ where you can set what date you want to use for Start and what date you want to use for End. When you select both, Infinity automatically creates date range in calendar.
It will be fixed by the end of the day with the new deploy.
